Athletics

Athletics is one of the oldest and most universal sports, bringing together a wide range of disciplines that test the fundamental physical qualities of the human body: speed, strength, endurance, agility and coordination.

This sport includes running over various distances, long jump, high jump and pole vault, throwing events (javelin, shot put, discus and hammer), as well as combined events. Owing to its variety, athletics offers everyone the opportunity to discover the discipline best suited to them, whether they prefer speed or strength-based challenges.

Athletics is the principal sport of the Olympic Games and is widely regarded as the foundation of sport. It helps to develop overall physical fitness, improve health, and build determination and discipline.
